Finally….. Another Reason Users Group NYC Meeting 3.23.10, this one’s on me

March 16th, 2010

Greetings one and all!
I hope that you are all doing well
As the title of this post would suggest…..there is going to be another RUG NYC event….and…..this one’s on me
That’s right…..a free Reason/Record event
I feel bad that uncontrollable circumstances have halted me from having these more consistently……
But….I would like to throw this free event as a welcome back and hopefully as the kick-off of these events happening regularly again……

303 Grand is not renewing their lease and are allowing me to have a last RUG event there free of charge……
This will be on Tuesday March 23rd 2010 from 7pm-9pm at 303 Grand in Williamsburg

Now,……topics for this event…..
I plan on covering a number of fun, exciting, and useful things.
I have not yet had a proper Combinator workshop, so, we can count that in……
As most of you already know, through my involvement at Dubspot, I have been using other DAWs, but I have been using Reason and Record heavily thru them…….so,…..I would like to spend some time showing off some of the very powerful Rewire options and scenarios that I have encountered and their usage and application in Logic and Live….
Building on the “outside of Reason/Record world”, I have also been living with and studying many of the more popular 3rd party VST/AU plug-ins…..however,……I find myself returning to Reason’s rack time and time again and emulating the structure and sonic experience out of many of these plug-ins. We will be looking at some of my favorite VST/AU Instruments, and look at ways to reconstruct them in Reason.

As this is a free event, seating will be limited, so, if you’d like to sit, I urge you to be there a little bit before 7pm

I really hope that all of you can make it…..

I am really looking forward to this, and I promise it’s going to be a good time for all.

I am truly sorry that there has been such a gap in time since the last RUG NYC event.
I am also looking at a new location to hold these events on a monthly basis, and I think I have it narrowed down.

For those of you that haven’t been to a past RUG event at 303 Grand, the address can be found on the locations page of www.reasonusersnyc.com

If you are planning on coming, please drop me a quick note at reasonusersnyc@gmail.com, just so I can get an idea of how many guests to expect.

I am really looking forward to seeing you all again….
